Grant stumbled on the song “Path” while he was house sitting on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. A misty, salt-sprayed beach walk every morning always left him feeling clean and refreshed, and it was one of these mornings that a little melody was waiting for him on the acoustic guitar as he returned from the walk. The small loop translated well as the main synth part, and without too much effort the rest of the song emerged. Grant says, “Path is one of those magical creative endeavors that took absolutely no effort, every part just fell into place like they had always been there.”
